Warning: We are the one and only Yachting Australia & IKO Accredited Training Centre in Brisbane. If you are offered lessons by someone in Brisbane, make sure you ask to see their accreditation and insurance certificate. Brisbane & Gold Coast City Councils both require a minimum of $10m Public Liability cover. This cover is to cover you in case you get hurt or hurt someone else or damage other people’s property during the lessons, not the shop’s liability’s insurance which does not cover lessons. If they cannot produce these documents, cancel the lesson and ask for your money back. Imagine if you crash the kite onto someone their insurance will not cover you and you will be liable personally! Don’t risk it!
