Day 1: Arrive Entebbe Intentional
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our professional driver guide who will, welcome, brief you and then transferred to your hotel for diner and overnight at Golf Course Hotel or Hotel Africana.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls
After breakfast, you will drive northwards to Murchison Falls with lunch en route. Murchison falls National Park is the largest national park in Uganda covering 3840sqkm, with a record of 76 mammal species and 450 bird species. You may opt for on foot Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary with en route lunch at Ziwa, then proceed the truly magnificent Top of the Falls where you will gaze in awe at the Nile being forced through a 7m gap to roar thunderously below in a white glorious splash. Dinner and overnight at Luxury Paraa safari Lodge or Sambiya river lodge.
Day 3: Game Drive and Launch Trip to the bottom of the Falls
Have a quick cup of coffee and then go for a morning game drive on the northern side of the park. Some of the animals you are likely to see include the Giraffe, various Antelope species, Lion, Elephant, etc. Bird life in Lake Mburo is quite impressive with the Eagle being one of the prized sightings and the rare and rather iconic Shoebill. Later after lunch, you will go on an exciting launch trip to the bottom of the Falls. During the cruise, there are amazing views of the At the bottom of the thundering falls, where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, kingfishers, skimmers, fish eagles and sometimes the rare shoebill.Dinner and overnight at paraa safari lodge or Sambiya river lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Fort portal – Kibale Forest
After breakfast, drive out of the park south west via the albertine escarpment of the western rift valley, through Hoima town passing through luxuriant vegetation of the country side, rich tea plantations and traditional homesteads. On arrival in the forest, you may have a nature walk before calling it a day. Dinner and overnight at primate lodge.
Day 5: Uganda Chimpanzee tracking – Kibale Forest
After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing prior to the chimpanzee tracking activity. This forest boasts of 13 primate species including the endangered Red Colobus Monkey, Velvet Monkey, Blue monkey, L’Hoestes monkey, Grey Cheeked, and the Black / White Colobus monkeys. Thereafter you will have a traditional meal with one of the local families as you get to know more about their way of life. Later in the afternoon, you may visit other local families in Bigodi village.
Dinner and overnight at primate lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
You will have a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland. The swamp hosts a diversity of birds, butterflies, and various species of flora. Later you may also visit the tea plantations or the crater region. Thereafter you transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari lodge or Hostels
Day 7: Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Have an early breakfast and thereafter have a morning game drive for good sightings of the early risers and also the predators returning to their hideouts. There are chances to encounter grazing Hippos, Elephants, Lions, Striped Jackal, comical Warthogs, spotted Hyenas, Bush buck, Water buck, and the elusive Leopard. After lunch, you have an exciting launch cruise on the spectacular Kazinga Channel, the waterway that joins Lakes Edward and George. On the cruise there are many chances for Buffalos, Hippos, and the occasional Nile crocodile. There is also spectacular birding long the shores.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Start very early with a quick cup of coffee and another game drive in the park. Later you will drive out of Queen Elizabeth national park towards Bwindi Impenetrable forest. It is approximately 4 hours of driving to Bwindi Impenetrable forest, having lunch en route. Depending on weather and road conditions, you may drive through the Ishasha section which is famed for tree climbing lions, or through Rukungiri enjoying beautiful sceneries en route. Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park hosts more than half of the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas, and also other primates including Blue and Red-tailed Monkeys. The ancient rainforest has luxuriant vegetation with streams running through it.
Dinner and overnight at Silverback Lodge or Gorilla Resort Lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla Safari Uganda
After breakfast, set off early for the park headquarters for briefing prior to the gorilla tracking activity. Later you set off with knowledgeable Uganda Safari guides to track the mountain gorilla. The thrill you get from looking deep into the eyes of the gentle apes is bound to erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous gorilla trek. Taking up a gorilla safari to Uganda will actually be of great experience.You will be allowed an hour with the gorillas; watch them in awe as the younger ones swing from vine to vine and the older ones groom each other.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi, Kabale for a relaxing spell on one of the islands. Lake Bunyonyi, a birdwatcher’s and nature lover’s delight, also the second deepest Crater Lake in Uganda and Africa as a whole is one of the few bilharzia-free lakes in Uganda. Dotted with at least 20 small islands and encircled by steep terraced hills, Bunyonyi is a magical spot that has been renamed the “Switzerland of Africa”. Its high altitude and moderate temperatures as well as its beautiful scenery have qualified the island to be among the most popular destinations in Western Uganda. Although the hills surrounding are heavily cultivated, a combination of forest groves, gardens, farm fields, open water and extensive marshes attract a wide diversity of bird life (over 200 species). Lake Bunyonyi is also probably one of the best places in Uganda and Africa as a whole to see Spot-necked Otters readily fishing the Lake shore.
Dinner at Ha Buharo Island or Arcadia cottages with a clear view of Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Have a tour around Lake Bunyonyi and then drive to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest national park in Uganda. The park has markedly different fauna to other reserves hence it hosts a high diversity of wildlife. Upon arrival at the park headquarters, you will have an evening game drive where you have chances for Zebra, Uganda Kob, Impala, Buffalo, Eland and Topi as herbivores and also the rare Roan antelope and Hyenas, Leopard, and Jackals as predators etc.

Day 12: Boat Cruise and departure
After a quick cup of coffee, you have a morning boat trip on Lake Mburo where you have chance to see hippos and many bird species. Lake Mburo is located within the park making which is a blessing as it is rich with diverse flora and fauna which can only be viewed clearly on the boat trip. The crocodiles, hippopotamuses and birds like Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle, etc will furnish your wildlife trip to Uganda with pride. Later you will proceed to Kampala having lunch en route. This day marks the end of the Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Safari.
