All customers must contact us the day before their trip to confirm that everything is fine with water levels, minimum numbers etc.
Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 24 hours notice of any cancellation is required to avoid fees.
Groups of 10 or more must give 48 hours notice if the entire group is cancelling; a small reduction in numbers is fine up to 24 hours in advance.
Cancellations with less than 24 hour notices will be charged a 50% cancellation charge.
100% of the cost is charged for no shows or cancellation on the day of the trip.Refund Policy
Trips cancelled by River Rats for any reason (insufficient numbers, flooding, etc) will be refunded in full if an alternative trip / date is not suitable.Bookings & Conditions
Although we operate within strict safety guidelines, adventure activities by their nature involve a degree of risk. By partaking in these activities you agree to assume this risk and will be required to sign a waiver of liability.
If for any reason you find it necessary to cancel your trip please notify us as soon as possible. Provided a minimum of 24 hours notice is given there will be no cancellation charge. Due to extensive trip preparation, cancellations less than 24 hours before departure will incur charges in full. Note: Longer cancellation notice may be required for package or group bookings.

Kaituna River Base / Head Office – Driving Directions from Rotorua15 – 20 minutes north east of Rotorua on State Highway 33 you will come to a sign ‘Welcome to Mourea’ at the bottom of the hill on the left you will see River Rats signs.
