Wylde Ride offers a range of dynamic packages for people seeking high adventure or a slightly more sedate excursion.

Team Wylde Ride has had awesome experiences touring many countries by bicycle. On our return home to South Africa, we realised that it would be an incredible adventure to cycle around and show people our own country. We set up a tour operation that would allow people to do just that, without the hassle of organizing a trip from far away.

Explore the battlefields and mountains of Kwazulu Natal, conquer the high passes of the Kingdom of Lesotho, cycle past traditional rural villages and the magnificent shoreline of the Wild Coast or take a relaxing ride through the Natal Midlands. Our cycling holidays are fully supported and offer cyclists of varying experience the opportunity to discover the pleasure of cycling in South Africa without the worries or the logistics.

We offer a range of 1 to 9 day cycle tours throughout South Africa, each individually designed to highlight the splendours of their specific areas.

WHITEWATER RAFTING

Situated only 95km from Durban and 65km from Pietermaritzburg, the Mkomazi River provides a challenging yet pristine environment for both the first timers and the seasoned veterans. The Mkomazi River boasts some of the best rapids to be found in South Africa, with the section from Hella Hella to Number 8 being regarded as the biggest traversable Whitewater south of the Zambezi. It offers a selection of rapids to suit everyone’s ability. Navigate the class 2 to 5 rapids or choose a more sedate trip past traditional Zulu villages and indigenous forest.

There are half day and full day, as well as multiday rafting trips. Combine white water rafting with mountain biking and abseiling or a canopy tour for a real adventure package.

Rafters are issued with necessary equipment - paddles, lifejackets, helmets etc. All trips are led by experienced, APA registered River Guides. Lunch and light refreshments are provided on the river
