8 Day Southern Alps, Nelson & Marlborough Guided Bike Tour
Activity provided by
In Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand
A supported bicycle tour of Nelson, Marlborough & the Southern Alps with Independent Cycle Tours, is a great introduction to the great diversity of scenery that New Zealand offers. From the majesty of the Southern Alps with a soak in hot pools and the relaxed pace of the seaside town of Nelson to the bounty offered by the Marlborough wine region you get to experience the best from the north of the South Island.
The terrain is varied in nature involves a number of demanding hill climbs and longer distances making this suitable for moderate to reasonably experienced cyclists. For less experienced cyclists or if the weather is against you, the option of the support vehicle is a great backup for those more demanding days. Accommodation is hand picked with quality lodgings chosen for their friendly local hosts, great location and cleanliness. The region provides a great introduction to the country for first time visitors, and is readily accessible from Christchurch International Airport and the inter-island ferries between Wellington and Picton.
