Offering the best wildlife, the best paddling in icebergs and incredible scenery. Columbia Glacier is Alaska's second largest tidewater glacier. Since the early 1980's, the glacier has been retreating catastrophically off of the terminal moraine leaving an 8 mile long field of floating ice in front of it. On this kayak day tour, we get dropped off close to the moraine of the glacier to go sea kayaking into the icebergs. We take a lunch break and a short hike on the glaciers' moraine. Customers provide their own lunch and we will provide hot drinks and snacks. After the break we continue exploring the coastline by kayak. The water taxi will bring us back to Valdez after 5 hours of activity.Show less
