With a population just over 300,000 and over 60% living in the greater Reykjavik area, this arctic island is an adventure paradise. In parts of Iceland during the summer the sun never sets, allowing for endless days of fun-filled exploration and adventure. In the mountains, there are year-round glaciers for snowmobiling and dog sledding, and as you get closer to the coast, grasslands, waterfalls, geysers, canyons, streams and lava fields surround you. The surrounding ocean is filled with great fishing and whale watching, and just in case you're are interested in something different, scuba diving between the continental shelves in glass-clear water is also available.
