Island Peak, one of the most wanted peaks among climbers in Khumbu Himalayan range is destination for many adventurers. The peak has long been permitted by NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association) for the Himalayan adventurer, which offers the greatest and closest view of some of the tallest mountain and other lesser but scenic mountains such as Ama Dablam (6812m) and Lhotse (8516m) in the Himalayan opera.
The trek is of a 24-days trip departing from, and returning to Kathmandu. Initially, the trekkers joins Botanical Treks & Excursion in Kathmandu then set forward to Gokyo via Namchhe bazaar. During the week our professional Sherpa Guide and Service personal handle the group providing enough logistic arrangements. The Gokyo Valley has some high altitude pasture that is so much scenic and adventurous part of the Himalayan Journeys. After Conquered the Peak Gooey RI at 5300m Our Sherpa Guide, who has vast knowledge about Himalayan hidden trails, brings you cross over the High Pass Cho La at the altitude of 5400m and that pass brings you to Pheriche then eventually to Khumbu Glacier Valley. Trekkers continue their trek towards Mt Everest Base Camp ascending the scenic viewpoint of Kalapathaar. Here at Kalapathaar one can see Mt Everest in close eyes and such ascend gives enough acclimatization for our final challenge to Island peak climb. After our ‘Everest experience’ we approach the base camp for Island peak via a high alpine pass. In the Imjatse Valley Island peak enjoys spectacular views of the North Side of Ama Dablam and the sweeping flanks of Mt Nuptse and the worlds 5th highest peak, Mt Lhotse.
To climb Island Peak one needs to be fit and energetic. Our Sherpa guide & climbing supporters will ensure a safe passage on the journey providing the highest level of safety.
After the successful ascend of Island peak we head down to Lukla following Panbonche and Thyanbonche village then to Namchhe Bazaar for the returning flight to Kathmandu.
