South Wales is one of the most exciting Caving areas in Britain with a great variety of Caves and Potholes. We can offer caving sessions at all levels and we choose the most appropriate caves to suit the needs of each group.
Take this opportunity to visit the fascinating world of underground Wales and experience the sport of caving, as well as seeing what is hidden in the underworld beneath our feet.
Caving can be delivered as a half or whole day activity or as a taster within a Multi-Activity session. It can also be an opportunity to learn skills and as a way of visiting numerous underground sites with experienced and qualified caving Instructors.
Most of the caves of South Wales are horizontal in nature and don’t require vertical skills, making them ideal for both newcomers and experienced cavers who want to travel further underground or visit new sites.

Itinerary
We will meet for a briefing for the day and then an introduction to the activity and equipment. Once eveyone is kitted up, we make our way down to the cave entrance and following safety checks and a final safety brief, we head underground. The trip will involve walking, stooping, hands and knees crawling, flat out crawling, climbing, squeezing and ropework. We also start dry and finish wet.
We take the opportunity to explain how the caves form and where all the beautiful formations come from and dicuss some of the history of the caves.
All in all, an exciting, challenging interesting and educational day.
Cancellation policy
If cancelled up to 1 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the entire activity price may be charged.
